The Shops at La Cantera** The new shops are finally open. Where...Loop 1604 at IH-10 on the Northwest Side of San Antonio. This 1.3 million square-foot retail center anchored by four department stores. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Dillard's and Foley's will fill a total of 644,000 square-feet. The remaining space will be filled by smaller retailers, several restaurants and a food hall that will consist of another 10 eateries. Two of the larger restaurant spaces have already been filled with P.F. Chang's China Bistro and Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano.

The Rim** The Northwest Side is home to another mega-development. The first phase of The Rim is scheduled to be 1.5 million square feet of retail space located around IH-10 at La Cantera Parkway. The Bass Pro Shop has been landed as the anchor tenant for phase one of the development. Along side the Bass Pro Shop, phase one of The Rim will also include several other large retailers, restaurants, a theater, office space, a hotel and even some residential space. It is expected that the completion of phase one will take 3 years.

Huebner Oaks This major retail center is an established center located around IH-10 at Huebner Oaks on the cities Northwest Side. It is approximately 400,000 square-feet and is home to several big retailers like Bed, Bath & Beyond, Old Navy, Borders Book & Music and Gap. It is also home to several small eateries and even a Salt Grass Steakhouse. AMC Theater also holds a spot in this retail center with a 24 screen movie theater.
